Project Summary
OpenOCD is a "Free and Open On-Chip Debugging, In-System Programming and Boundary-Scan Testing" tool : http://openocd.berlios.de/web/I'd like to add support for iMX5 platform into OpenOCD so these can be developed/debugged with cheap and easily accessible JTAG adapters and easy to use open-source software solution the OpenOCD is.
The Cortex A8 core support is already in place, but only for TI OMAP processors. I expect some severe changes taking place.
I added support for PXA3xx into OpenOCD already and I'm also a maintainer of U-Boot for PXA platform, so I can cooperate with Jean-Christophe in the later stage (bootstraping a clear platform with his bootloader work).
