i.MX515 based Multichannel DTS SD Digital Audio decoder in category Multimedia

Project Summary
The objective is to port C ++/C DTS SD Decoder Code using RVDS Compiler and to run on Cortex A8 and or NEON based processor. The project will use current RVDS 3.1 Compiler and new 4.x C++ Compiler to further optimise output code to reduce Memory and or MIPs overhead. I have ARM RVDS tools to support copilation and will use TimeSys Linux tools to build GStreamer wrapper and Binaries. If time allows, I will port NEO 6 and other audio applications to follow on. Stretch Goal will to write NEON based FIR/IIR filters to support bass manager and delay manager for 5.1 decoder.Project Blog Entries
Status - DTS SD Decoder working under GStreamer on Efika MX and I have Dolby PrologicIIx working but not under GStreamer yet. Dolby Digital SD decoder runs under Linux GStreamer in 2 channel mode and I will get the 5.1/7.1 decoder running later this fall.
I plan to build a bass manager , bit stream detection and Gain/delay manager as I get further into this project and as time permits.
Another task is to have streaming audio in via USB from external source supporting isochronous audio playback.
Looking into USB driver support on this as a separate project tbd.
