Project Proposal
(submiting the project ideas separately for better progress monitoring).qimageblitz is used in KDE 4 for all its eye candy and visual effects. Optimizing it for AltiVec is both doable and will greatly benefit the KDE4 visual experience on a platform such as 8610 (it will also benefit all other AltiVec-enabled platforms of course). We intend to work on these optimizations.
