Project Summary
grml is a bootable CD (Live-CD) originally based on Knoppix and Debian. grml includes a collection of GNU/Linux software especially for users of texttools and system administrators and provides automatic hardware detection. You can use grml for example as a rescue system, for analyzing systems/networks or as a working environment. It is not necessary to install anything to a harddisk, you don\'t even need a harddisk to run it. Due to on-the-fly decompression grml includes about 2.1 GiB of software and documentation on the CD. grml is an open source project.

See http://grml.org/ for more details about grml.

I\'m initiator, project leader and coredeveloper of the grml project which provided its first public release on 22nd october 2004 and the current versions grml 0.6 and grml-small 0.2 have been released on 22nd January 2006. The EFIKA-project would provide us the possibility to port grml to the PowerPC platform.
