Any chance any physics features will be integrated into the engine?
What type of physics feature will you need?
Can you please elaborate what game idea you have?

Cheers
Gunnar

i mean can you make physics based traps.

I was thinking a physics based problem game would be a fun timewaster, which all games are. The game could be something like getting a bunch of blobs from one side of the map to another.

like a 2d version of gary's mod for hl2

Sorry, I'm not a HalfeLive player and I do not know this mod. I'm not really clear about what your game idea is. :-(
But I nearly know all C64,Amiga and Arcade shoot em ups, maybe you can give me an example from that time area?

I'm not sure but I think you are not thinking about a shoot-em-up right now, are you?
Please mind that the Kit will be focused on Shoot-Em-ups.
So creating games like Tetris or a flipper or a Jump and Run will be out of the scope of the Kit.

Cheers

have played many games from that era but im guessing it would be similar to "jungle jill".

The premise of garys mod is to use any combination of objects to build things, like a sandbox.

Hello everyone. I'm Paul Rezendes. Most know me as Acill which has been my handle on the net for a very long time. I've used it as far back as the old BBS scene days.

I'll be doing some graphics art work. Things like titme pages, loading screens and somce game models and things. I have a lot of ideas. I want to do a game like lemmings or car wars. I've been a bit rusty at computer art, but I am getting back into it and have done a few real cool looking things while at sea. (I do work for the US Navy and go out on ships quite a bit) The next 2 months or so will be slow packed full for me, but as I am moving to New Mexico in December I will start having a lot more time about August.

If you need any game art, title pages, transition screens ect just let me know. I'll see what I can come up with if you give me an idea of what you want. I would need screen size, color types, your vision of the scene ect. I use a Macintosh with Adobe CS2 suite for most of my work.

You can reach me at acill(at)mac(dot)com

Gunnar, how long should the sample level be gameplay-wise? And is it ok if rather than a first level it is more of a training level, just for getting the feel of the game.

Hey everyone. I'm back home at last. I have a few questions for gunnar about exactly what I need to draw for a complete game. I have a few cool things done up and looked in the data drawer in the 1944 game. Is that all I need to draw for a working game? It seems so simple, too simple.

Hi Acill,

Nice to see you back!
You are right you don't need that much for a game. :-)

The minimun somewhat is :
One image for the title screen.
One image for the level background.
One image with the sprites.

Can you send me what you have ?

Cheers
Gunnar
