Has there been any work to make the video decoding chip functional under Debian ARMHF? If so what do I need to do and what media players does it work with?

My current build only includes the default repo from the ARMHF images for download here and then my own repositories.

What packages do I want out of that repo you just linked to (all of them?). And what media players does the video decoding chip work in?

Hi.

You want the GStreamer stuff (gst-fsl-plugin and gst-plugins-base). You should be able to play 720p H.264 video in Totem, just like in the standard image that comes with the system.
