I was able to install the Enlightenment desktop with Muon package manager on the Efika Smartbook that came from Genesi but don't see any way to log out of the existing desktop and back into Enlightenment. How do I do this or is it not allowed?

Hi.

Since you have the dock version, the best way to do this is quickly create a new user (administration -> users and groups) and log in as that one, selecting the Enlightenment desktop. You should also disable the automatically log on as the 'Efika' user in the administration -> login screen.

I did that and set up the 2nd account to log into Enlightenment but now my original account only logs into Enlightenment too. When I try to go back to admin - users and groups, it won't let me (the wheel goes around forever). I tried users-admin in the root terminal too. What is the solution? Thanks

Hi.

You should be able to select the session you want at the gdm log in screen when logging in/switching users. What options do you see?

Johan.

A friend at OLYMUG Linux SIG just showed me that at the bottom of the login screen so I am back in business. Thanks
