News just arrived to the FreeBSD-ppc mailing list, that FreeBSD boots now on the EFIKA. For details please check the following links:

The port is not yet complete, but a step in the right direction :)

Just got this message about FreeBSD on EFIKA. The above mentioned can be tested:

You can try the minimalistic kernel+ramdisk from here: http://people.freebsd.org/~raj/misc/efika-kernel.gz
- unzip and put onto your TFTP host server
- execute from Efika SmartFirmware prompt:
boot eth:<your_TFTP_host_IP>,efika-kernel,<your_efika_IP>

E.g.: boot eth:10.0.0.204,efika-kernel,10.0.2.11
"

I did not have yet time to test it, but will try ASAP...

what is supposed to happen ?
I booted it, saw a list of modules loading then it hangs there.
