Hi,

I'm trying Fedora 7 on a dual-G4 PowerMac. Everything works fast & well... but fans are running fast and the machine seems to get has warm as when it's working at full load. The CPUs works around 5-10% when I use the machine.

It seems that the NAP-mode of the G4 is not supported, how could it get it setted up and running on this distribution. I've looked in the kernel configuration but I'm usesure of the options.

I know that Unbuntu handles better the NAP-mode... could someone send me the kernel config of an ubuntu kernel for this machine.

Or... maybe a little tool include in Ubuntu could do the job...

Does anyone knows about it?

Isn't the temp sensor broken in the G4?

No, it works fine with Mac OS X. The machine is quiet when not working. And fans goes a little faster when the machine is hard working.

?

Yeah, but I think Apple has some secret way of reading them.

Because I know the sensor is broken in the 7447 that was
shipped with the Pegasos 2 G4.

Maybe that the sensor used by Apple is on the motherboard...

But it doesn't explain why it works with Ubuntu.
