http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/p ... etStarted/ FYI: From: thomas riddle <Tom.Riddle@Sun.COM> Date: October 11, 2007 8:11:27 PM CDT To: Raquel and Bill <bbrv@genesi-usa.com> Subject: Code Is Out Reply-To: Tom.Riddle@Sun.COM Bill, FYI, we have released all of our code to the OpenSolaris Project repository. We are closing in on the holy grail we seek, the single user prompt. Once we have this on ODW moving it onto EFIKA will be next. -- Thomas Riddle Sun Microsystems Laboratories ===== We are looking for an ODW not being used to support a Developer involved in the OpenSolaris port effort. Please email us if you are willing to lend one to him. He is in the States and we will gladly pay for the shipping. R&B :-) |

Update (please download it and give it a try!): From: thomas riddle <Tom.Riddle@Sun.COM> Date: November 5, 2007 5:16:49 PM CST To: Raquel and Bill <bbrv@genesi-usa.com> Subject: Solaris on PPC Status Reply-To: Tom.Riddle@Sun.COM Hey Raquel and Bill, Just thought I'd give you a quick update on our march to a single user prompt. Most of the shared libs are building as are some of the cmd apps. The kernel is loading & exec'g init and we're debugging that now. After which we should be getting to our 1st shell (sh). Timing on the debugging aspect is hard to predict accurately but we're hoping by next week... or sooner. -- Thomas Riddle Sun Microsystems Laboratories 16 Network Circle Menlo Park, CA 94025 Mail-Stop MPK16-162 |
