Hello,

Sometimes my smartbook starts to get really slow, if I'm fast enough I'm able to switch to console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) I get the following error messages:

Is this a problem with the disk or maybe just the controller/dma?

Hi.

This seems to be a broken SSD. Please contact your vendor, or sales directly, to get it replaced.

That sounds bad :(

The thing is that this is my first SSD. I don't have any experience with them, is there a way to confirm or double check this?

Since it only happens sometimes (like once every 2 weeks) and fsck at boot goes ok.

Is there something like SMART for SSD?

Regards

Hi.

What you could try is re-image the system and see if that goes fine (and keeps running fine).
There is a disk check you could run, but you have to boot from SD card, press 'N' when asked to install the OS. This will drop you to a console where you can log in with oem/oem.
You can then use fsck and badblocks to check the internal SSD.
