Project Proposal
The main objective of this project is to develop an Indirect Adaptive Controller with Swarm Intelligence based Identificacion Algorithm for an Multiple Input/Output temperature experimentation platform. The controller would be developed in LabVIEW for Windows (which is availible at the Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia), and compiled for PowerPC. The communication between the experimentation platform and the controller would be made through any of these interfaces: Ethernet, USB or Serial. For the experiment, several architectures of the controller will be tested. Each one needs a number of parameter sets to be identified, from 6 to 200, in periods of 100ms, for which a fast vector processing unit is necesary. Besides the RT control operations, is necesary to display information to the user. The most important is access to 25 setpoints/outputs, and 16 actuators signals. The project continues the research carried out at the Universidad del Valle, in the development of Swarm based controllers for complex systems.
