I just published my blog about my first impressions with the smartbook: http://czanik.blogs.balabit.com/2010/11 ... mart-book/

Yesterday I brought the smartbook with me to BSD Day 2010 ( http://wiki.freebsd.org/BSDDay_2010 ) in Budapest. The smartbook was the start of the event, even if it was not an announced guest. Many people checked it out and took pictures of it. Here is a nice series: http://picasaweb.google.com/rhdisk0/BSDDay_20101120# Of course, they also expressed that they can live with Ubuntu/Android, but Free and/or NetBSD would be better :-)

The main developers behind openSUSE ARM are now working at Linux Foundation to work on MeeGo and on Linux Foundation's Build Service. So, as far as I know, they still work on it as time permits, but there is no real progress...

I'll try to bring MeeGo up on my SmartBook, as liked this interface pretty much when last tried (that was still 1.0...). But there is no schedule, and no promise, that it will ever work...
