here a new release:

http://www.ewb.it/~acrux/crux-ppc-2.4pre8-pmac32.iso (324335616)
http://www.ewb.it/~acrux/crux-ppc-2.4pre8-pmac32.iso.md5 (62)

it is a generic pmac32 and pegasos2 (radeonfb enabled and without DTS fw patch) bootkernel (2.6.23.9)

Code:

on Genesi Pegasos2:

> boot cd boot/zImage-Pegasos2 root=/dev/hdc

known issue:
Code:

1) xorg-1.4.0 wrapper doesn't find videocards on PCI bus (PCI domain broken on powerpc arch - affected machines are PegasosII and, perhaps, Pegasos too)
2) the CRUX PPC handbook here included is too old (it's yet from 2.2 release)

the next-coming release 'll include EFIKA and Sam440ep bootkernel too.

Nice work Folks!

Have you thought about putting together a page like this?

We could include CruxPPC in the official list of options.

R&B :)

yeah, it 'd be great. We are just working to release our 2.4 release but we must delay RC1 release 'cause our server (where we are going to create new git server) it's down. :/

After that we are happy to talk about this new opportunity.

prepared a new iso.

http://www.ewb.it/~acrux/crux-ppc-2.4pre10-32bit.iso (325920768)
http://www.ewb.it/~acrux/crux-ppc-2.4pre10-32bit.iso.md5 (71)

it is a generic pmac32, efika and pegasos2 (radeonfb enabled and without DTS fw patch) bootkernel (2.6.23.14)

some notes:
Code:

1) handbook updated
2) setup fixed
3) xorg-server-1.4.0.90 wrapper doesn't find videocards on PCI bus (PCI domain broken on powerpc arch) then if needed you must download and upgrade with this one[1]
4) packages updated to 17/01/2008

Cd drive is connected to Efika through usb adapter.

For installation Crux I write the following:

boot cd /boot/zImage-Efika root=/dev/sr0

and the Installer does not find drive.

Thus, when installing Crux from hdd, the installer has perfectly found drive as sr0 device.

try with:

boot cd /boot/zImage-Efika root=/dev/sr0 bootdelay=10

I believe it's rootdelay=10 and not bootdelay... but maybe either will work...

Anyway Cjg is in the team too!
