Hi guys

I'm a bit confused at the moment.
I know so far that I must not plug in PCI Cards whicht require 5 volt for operation in my EFIKA or it will get destroyed.
I also know that the PCI Slot on the Efika ist keyed for 3.3 volt.

But what I don't know (and can't get to verify even after quite some google usage) is if "universal" PCI Boards which are keyed for both 3.3 and 5 volt usage will work in the efika and not kill it.

Does "universal" mean that those pci cards will use either 3.3 or 5 volt, whatever is provided by the board or will they "request" 5 volt from the board and thereby kill it?

One more question. I found some 64bit cappable USB 2.0 / Firewire 1394A /GBit LAN Cards made by Exsys.
All cards with 64 bit (PCI-X) must run with 3.3 volt? Am I right here?
Would be wonderful if this works. A good way to upgrade an EFIKA with Firewire/USB 2.0/GBit LAN for about 65 Euros

Btw exsys is located in the same small city as bplan (developers of the EFIKA) ;)

A universal PCI card will run at 3.3v in a 3.3v keyed slot and will work fine in the EFIKA.
