Hi!
I'm going to use this coming week for a molk-update.
How should the additional "route line" in start-misc look like?
"route add default gw 192.168.X.X dev eth0" ?

cheers

Excellent. Yes, that line is good as most routers use 192.168.1.1 or blah .1.0 so on..

Ok,thanks!

Already begun/(almost)finished 0.7:

- kernel 2.6.15.4
- asfs compiled in
- data-partition selectable from hda1-hda10&hdb1-hdb10
- added awk (for tunconfig)
- added mkswap (for MOS only users)
- tons of soundcard-modules
(including emu10k of course ;))
- other stuff... (?)

thanks to cisc as usual! ;)

cheers

How can I change ip for mol in molk? Most of 192.168.x.x are taken in my network and I like to give it some 10.0.0.x ip. I edited dhcpd-mol.conf but mol still tries to configure itself as 192.168.40.2.

Hi!
You usually should change your ip in the start-misc script.
(this ip will be the one for linux) mol "aliases" then this ip to an own one...
I'm still no network-expert, so maybe someone else can explain it better
(or read the Docs :) )
cheers

AFAIK 198.168.40. blah is a Fake ip address that is generated by MOL for tunneling (tun) purposes to the dhcp from Linux... if that makes any sense..

Its not a "fake" adress per se, its an internal network between the linux kernel and OSX.
That part should be left to the built in DHCP server in MOLK.
The only adresses that should need changing is the ones in start-misc, first line = IP on the _real_ internal network, second line = IP adress of the network ( 0 at the end ), third line = IP adress of default gateway.

Bonjour,

I just install Molk, and that look really great.
Really faster than MOL.
Network work fine and fast ( 800ko/sec vavavooooom )
I use my "old" MacosX installation ( who was installed with mol )
But I have no sound. I have a soundBlaster live. With MOL, I have sound but that consume lot of CPU time.
And how can I mount my FAT32 partition ( my exchange partition between Ubuntu, MOL and MorphOS ) I can't edit the fstab

Thanks

Tiki

EDIT : Cool, after a little research and thinking, I'm now able to use my FAT32 partition, so, Molk take the place of MOL in my bootmenu :-D

Will MOLK and MacOS X be working if I try to install it on partition which is located on >8GB? I heard, MacOS X had some problems with it.

Is swap partition needed on 512MB DDR?
