On battery power, I logged into my smartbook, decided to turn off the modem and the machine shut down. Turning it on, no disk activity just the power light blinking white about once a second. Tried to boot from SSD card but the same results. Recharged the battery, running from mains but always the same results.

Hitting the power button again does nothing. Holding it down turns the computer off after several seconds. Mouse/keyboard elicits no response.

Am I missing something?
