Hi,

I have read the whole post but I still have some doubts.

Which Debian version is inside this armhf?

I am runing Debian from an external SD card, can I update the system, install new packages, etc..? Where are that new packages installed to? To external SD? Internal storage remains "clean"?

Thanks!

It's not a released Debian version, it's Debian SID (moving devel version).

If you are running it from an SD card, it will install updates, packages to it and leave the internal storage untouched.

Problem: update does not work, most likely some repository URLs changed.

Indeed, the armhf port is now officially supported. The debian-ports repositories from the original image have been disabled.

You should now change your sources.list to the regular mainline repos, i.e.

ftp.<country>.debian.org/debian/ unstable main

Updating mine as I'm typing this :)

Thanks, it works! Now I get "You don't have enough free space in /var/cache/apt/archives/." So next step is to extend the / partition from 1.8GB to 3.8GB...
