I know that already skype exists for the arm processors, for Maemo on the Nokia N800-N900, or for Android, for WebOS 2.0, but exists for a normal gnu/linux distro like Ubuntu that we use on Efika mx?

Well, it might be available for Android in Theory, but in Practice I have yet to see an Android phone, which has Skype installed. The message I get is something like "skype is not yet enabled for your phone, check back soon".

Good news! How did you download it? Does it also run on the EFIKA MX / smartbook?

Hi, Skype works today on the Efika MX through console. We will work out the user interface in the not-too-distant future. At this point, it is not high on the priority list, but it is coming...

R&B :)

We'll be happy with the MX, thanks!
.
@paco - we are running the Bodhi Linux ARM port on the Efika MX - details here: http://jeffhoogland.blogspot.com/2012/0 ... enesi.html

It was developed for a Smartbook like yours, but runs fine on the Efika MX Smarttop.
I think you should find that Skype is equally functional in both environments.
