http://www.qnx.com/products/getmomentics/
states that it comes with QNX Neutrino RTOS
it comes in an lite (x86 only) and all version including ppc. A non-commercial version license is available by signing up (no costs attached).

Als some board support packages seem to be available for download.

Could this mean qnx will be useable on the efika?

qnx seems to have opengl es and support for ati radeon. could be a way to get 3d adventure studio running on the efika without the overhead of linux. (if only morphos would be available)

It is. I thought we made that remarkably clear in the press release and blog posts and forum posts here.

You need a commercial license, or the LabView kit, and our BSP.

There is no downloadable Momentics release (as in the x86 self-hosted or Linux-hosted development environment) that *runs* on Power.

What you usually do is cross compile as most QNX targets are ~400MHz or lower SoC's. If you have a commercial QNX license, QNX will provide you with everything you need. Whatever QNX cannot provide, Genesi certainly can. You need that license first, though, for now.

I know this is not exciting but this is NOT the era of QNX being 'the next Amiga'. That was done and died. Please do not expect that you will be able to download a "free QNX distribution" which runs hundreds of native applications on your device. This is not how QNX play their product.

Is an academic license suitable as well?

Yes, of course. Anything that gives you the right to run QNX, if your university has a site license for students etc. then that's enough, as long as you're using the Efika at school, for university stuff :D

A long delay from me...

Anyway, I've an educational license for QNX 6.3.2 (I followed the steps for educational programme on the qnx website).

What next should I do to run qnx on efika?

This thread
http://www.powerdeveloper.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=692
has more information. Basically, you get momentics running on your windows or linux PC, and download the mgt-5200b BSP. You may need to go back to the well for another license key for the BSP, it's in addition to your Momentics key.
