Hi, I recieved my pegasos and installed the cpu card and turned it on. Everything went fine. I decided that I wanted to install ubuntu on the whole disk and elimate the other installed flavours. Again no problem. I rebooted a couple of times (can't remember if I did a full power down) and was always greeted by the of boot prompt. Well I moved and when I got to my new place I turn on the computer and now it just sits with a black screen. At the top is the line

"Radeon 9250 128MB PA426DBQ.IDA 817D16"

and below is the b circle symbol. The keyboard doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

After rereading what I wrote, my first post didn't make it obvious that rebooting after the fresh ubuntu install I was issued the OK prompt from the OF and then I gave the boot command to boot ubuntu.

Now I don't get the OK prompt, it just hangs.

Hi Brent,

Check inside your Pegasos/ODW, make sure the CPU card is in tight.
the video card is tight, all cables are pluged in

Please can you check the connection for your keyboard? If it is not inserted correctly then the firmware will fall back to console output on the serial port (if you have a null modem serial cable and a terminal at the end, set to 115200 8n1 no flow control, you can control it through that)

PS/2 ports may LOOK snug when you plug them in, but a new port and a new keyboard combined just needs that extra bit of pressure. Turn your Pegasos off, take the keyboard out, and plug it back in again just to make sure.

It happens to me pretty often that it stalls at the bPlan-logo. I have
auto-booting into Linux and it starts anyway. If you don't have it
just reboot and you will get it. There is still some bug with slow
spinning harddrives, etc.

No harm in the bug, just annoying if you want the prompt..

Reckless abandoning all good princples of trouble shooting I applied two changes at once. I doubled checked the keyboard connection and when the keyboard light first flashed I hit 'esc' (which I read somewhere will trying to figure out what was wrong). Lo and behold the OK prompt appeared. So it works now. Thanks for all the suggestions.
