Hello everybody,

First of all, sorry if I don't post in the right thread...
I'm new here, but I'm looking for Genesi activity since a few days.
In fact, I've got a simple project, and I wonder if a Genesi Efika MX Smarttop would help me to achieve my goal...
I'v recently bought (last week end) (>> here at Signatrol Store <<) a weather station (FineOffset Electronics WH1090, described by Fine Offset >> the manufacturer << which has the ability to connect via an USB port to a PC or a mini box to transmit weather information to be printed / updated to a web site for example.
I've not received it yet, maybe tomorrow, or in a couple of days.

Efika MX smarttop seems to correspond to my objective : very low consumption, mature project (I also looked at Cubox project from Solid-Run, but seems to be at early alpha stage despite the possibility to earn one now), acceptable format, nice ratio performance / price and affordable power for my humble needs.

According to you, have you ever experienced to compile the >> wfrog project << and >> Fowsr << to ARM / Efika MX ?
Another question : Is Efika MX smarttop shipped in Europe with WIFI capabilities (Wifi Antenna) ? I haven't see it on Genesi Europe, neither on the manual, and sometimes flagged as "optional", probably I miss the info.
Last but not least : Does Efika MX need OS update, or would it be runnable "out of the box" for this kind of project ?
If so, I think I've found the smarttop I'm looking for... :)

To sum up, the Efika MX Smarttop would be used :
- As a data logger to get weather information from weather station
- to host a small web site including fowsr and wfrog shown above.

Thanks a lot in advance for your opinions / experience about this.

Best regards.

Hi, thank you for signing up. The Efika MX Smarttop includes wi-fi functionality irregardless of where you buy the device.

Is it still possible to buy Efika MX (out of stock, end of serial production)?
Will it have a next release of this product, or any new product replacing this one ?

[EDIT] OK, I've read this >> thread <<.
