I run X, but don't have yet gl drivers.

The new efika is not opengl but opengles .

And that is good thing.

Also as glxgears is opengl specific it needs to rewriten for opengl es. Dont know if there is a dri driver for opengl es but there are other better ways. There is no need for glx.

Dont think opengles is a baby sister of opengl as it is quite powerfull. I watched an interactive 3d demo on my G2 Phone ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqKCam7wgws )

yes, my bad - of course it's gl es - glxinfo was a freudian slip on my part, as its gl caps report is quite comprehensive. one can still obtain pretty much the same set of info from an es driver too, though. just not through glxinfo ; )
